Wheel Stops are utilised in all sorts of parking areas as they can help vehicles to align correctly and safely. They can protect vehicles from high kerbs and assist coaches and trucks in parking in the appropriate position, or prevent a vehicle from overhanging an access path. They can also help to keep parked vehicles out of the flow of traffic and people by designating specific parking areas.
Wheel Stops are extensively used in warehouse lorry bays where it is necessary to control the parking of these large vehicles to ensure there are no collisions with perimeter walls, fencing or bay doors. They also ensure the end user adopts a reverse-only parking policy, which helps mitigate many accidents.
These Commercial Wheel Stops are made in the UK from recycled truck tyres and have a moulded-in high visibility strip for pedestrian and driver visibility in low light conditions. The Commercial Wheel Stops are very hard-wearing and remove the need to replace or repaint a traditional steel wheel stop, making them cost-effective.
Each Wheel Stop measures 1000mm in length and 250mm in width. Its height is 130mm. Each Wheel Stop comes with 4 Floor Anchors, ImpactSAFE buffer plugs and 2 reflectors. The fixings are suitable for both concrete and tarmac. To install, you simply drill a hole for the fixing anchors, which fit through the wheel stop and are secured to the ground firmly. These products are intended for permanent installation.
