Armco Barriers are variously known as car park, safety or crash barriers, however they all do the same thing; Armco Barriers protect people, valuable assets and buildings from damage that may be caused by a moving vehicle.
This type of metal safety barrier is often utilised in 'off road' sites such as warehouses and supermarket delivery bays. They are very recognisable particularly seen in multi-storey car parks. They effectively control accidental damage to building structures or valuable stock and it is easier and cheaper to replace a section of crash barrier than to repair a damaged structural wall.
These barriers are manufactured from high quality, corrugated, galvanised steel. This means the barrier can flex on impact but will maintain its strength, so a fast moving vehicle will be deflected along the guardrail barrier path whereas a slower moving vehicle will be quickly stopped.
Bolt down RSJ posts are a very good way of creating a strong, solid barrier system and have been designed to support our range of Armco barriers.
The armco posts are available from First Fence in a range of heights from 560mm up to 2000mm, allowing barrier systems to be built at a range of heights helping to protect people, buildings, and property.
This particular 760mm bolt down RSJ post comes complete with a size 7 tube clamp 1m extension attached. This is a very versatile product and can be used anywhere that needs the strong protection from Armco barriers, which is in parallel to a pedestrian walkway, for example car parks or warehouses. These posts are ideal when you need to combine Armco with a handrail. This post is compatible with size 7 tube clamp products. Also available with a size 8 tube clamp extension.
The profile of the RSJ posts allows these posts to be installed flat against a wall or surface, whilst the bolt down design means that no excavation of existing concrete surfaces is required. This makes the bolt down RSJ posts ideal for areas where the road surfaces may be coated in concrete or tarmac.
To protect the posts against the effects of weathering and rust, each of the Armco RSJ posts have been coated with a hot dip galvanised finish. This protective coating helps to protect the steel from weathering. For increased protection these posts can be powder coated with a high visibility yellow coating which provides an additional protective layer.
