The BEA LZR-H100 is an excellent alternative to traditional induction loops. Designed for use with rising barriers, the LZR-H100 utilises laser sensors to detect all types of vehicles, facilitating opening, securing, and presence detection.

Laser technology relies on the time-of-flight principle, where the sensor emits a light pulse and measures how long it takes for the signal to return. Given that light travels at approximately 300,000 km/s, the return time directly indicates the distance to the nearest object encountered by the pulse.

By emitting multiple beams in different directions (2D or 3D), the sensor can accurately locate any object within its detection area at any moment. By analysing this data over a short period, the sensor can identify the precise shape, speed, and direction of the object.

This solution features four laser-based curtains, creating a three-dimensional detection zone for precise object detection, including vehicles and people, ensuring maximum safety. The detection curtains are highly configurable and can be adjusted for activation and presence detection in vehicle sensing applications.
