This Aluminium Flanged Gate Post is designed to coordinate with the aluminium swing double gate. It is constructed from versatile and light weight aluminium and allows the gates to fit into any space.

The post measures 3000mm in length, has a box section of 100mm x 100mm and a wall dimension of 3.5mm. It has a base plate or flange that allows it to be bolted down to hard ground, however it can be dug into softer ground with the flange intact or cut off. It is a very versatile gate post.

Aluminium is a very useful material when used for gates and gate posts. It has strength, lightness and recyclability, but also a natural resistance to corrosion. Aluminium oxide is formed when it meets the air, and this results in a rust-resisting defensive layer. In a country that has very changeable, often wet weather, this is clearly a benefit. Aluminium sustains and even improves its toughness at low temperatures, so products work well in cold climates.

They are designed to match the gates and can be used as stand alone posts to support the gates if there is no walling to be attached to, or to fill a gap between a wall and the gate. They are only necessary if there is nothing to fit to. If the gate is going between two walls, for example, there would be no need for the posts.

As standard, these posts come with a Polyester Powder Coating in black or grey. Please get in touch if you would like another colour as there are non-standard colours available.

This Aluminium Flanged Gate Post comes with the necessary bolts to fasten to the ground. Post caps are required as the post is hollow and are available from First Fence.

Please Note: The posts are supplied with base plates which can be bolted down with M10 x 75mm Ground Anchors, however, if installing on softer ground, the base plate can be cut off or concreted in, meaning the posts can be used as both bolt down and dig in.
