This range of Farm Gates is manufactured from galvanised steel which is ideal for an outdoor product as it will be resistant to corrosion and rust. The 7-Rail gate is a classic agricultural design, the 7 rails are braced at each end with a box section, and the lower rails are more closely spaced and this allows for safe enclosure of smaller livestock as they will be unlikely to be able to escape.

Features and Benefits

The 9ft 7-rail Galvanised Farm Gate from First Fence is fabricated from galvanised steel which provides a rust and corrosion resistance which is crucial in a product that is permanently sited outdoors. This zinc covering gives the gate a protective layer and makes it durable and strong and ensures a long and productive lifespan. The traditional design, characterised by by its well-constructed rails and box bracing, gives a structural integrity that is capable of sustaining the forces that may be exerted on it by large farm animals or impacts from heavy farm vehicles.

The metal agricultural gate leaf is 1145mm high width a width of 15 feet [2745mm]. The top and bottom bars measure 45mm x 1.5m, and the five infill bars, or intermediate bars, measure 32mm x 1.2mm. Each gate comes with a spring-loaded Bolt Kit (including spring, cotter pin, washer and bolt) and two M20 x 150mm adjustable eye bolts with two hex nuts. Each gate leaf has two boss holes close together at the top, this is for adjustment or if you have different hook spaces when hanging your leaf.

The sturdy, steel farm gate leaf is made for easy installation whether this is on an existing post or wall or on brand new gate posts. Generally, this type of gate is erected onto soft ground (soil, grass etc) and so will need some Post Mix to ensure a very secure installation. This metal farm gate will give many years of service, however it is a good idea to clean and inspect it from time to time to check for rust, damage and debris build-up as these could contribute to it failing before it should.
