Features and Benefits
- Mesh construction – with narrow apertures, the mesh is extremely difficult to climb. The wires are rigid and robust which means that people will not be able to cut through them using standard cutting tools. Despite the mesh containing small sized gaps, overall visibility will not be reduced.
- Polyester Powder Coating – the gate is supplied with this additional finish to protect it from damage which weathering and vandalism may cause. It will also make the gate more colourful and attractive for the area in which it will stand.
- Ground suitability – you will be able to choose from two types of posts for your gate, but you will need to use posts which are compatible with ground which your gate will stand upon. We offer Bolt Down Posts for gates constructed on hard ground and Dig-In Posts for gates that are assembled on soft ground.

Function
By incorporating this 2.4m x 3.0m Single Leaf Prison Mesh Gate into your fencing system you can grant access to vehicles when they need to enter your site. This gate is suitable for small sized vehicles like cars and forklifts, due to its 3.0m width. As well as providing access, this gate also functions as a high security gate. The gate features tight wire mesh which offers a greater level of safety and protection compared to 656 and 868 types. Although the mesh gaps are too small to grip or pass anything through, it still supplies a good standard of visibility so even CCTV cameras can have a clear view without obstruction. Standing 2.4m high, this gate is ideal for high security locations such as police stations and airports.
You should use the sliding latch bolt and lower the drop bolt into the ground beneath to secure the gate in a closed position. It does not matter where the hinges are fixed onto the posts, the gate will always swing to a full 180°.
Please Note: When attaching your gate to our mesh fencing, additional M8 x 40mm bolts and mesh fencing clips will be required.
358 Prison Mesh
is constructed using horizontal and vertical wires, which both have a diameter of 4mm.
