Introducing Recycled Plastic Mortised Post and Rail Fencing

Recycled Plastic Mortised Post and Rail Fencing is part of First Fence's continually expanding line, which consists of knee rail fencing, post and rail, and residential fencing and gates.

This sustainable fencing system is manufactured from Plaswood which is a premium, innovative and resilient material made from recycled plastic. Independent experts test the product and its raw materials for performance and consistency, while the recycling processes convert waste into new, sustainable materials and solutions.

The plastic material has been designed to be able to withstand the negative effects of harsh weather conditions, including temperature variations, moisture and UV exposure. In contrast to traditional wood, it is resistant to rot, warping, and insect damage. Once installed, the product needs minimal maintenance, as it does not deteriorate over time like standard timber.

First Fence provides all the essentials for building your new mortised post and rail fencing, including this 3.1m rail. The rail has a width of 40mm x 100mm and is to be used with the recycled plastic mortised posts in the range. This rail can be used with both post heights and fits through the mortised holes to form the framework of the system. No fixings are needed to fix the posts and rails together.

This is a dig-in fencing system and requires one bag of post mix per post. It is recommended that posts are installed at 1.0m (+/- 50mm) post centre intervals, and will need to be set 500mm into the ground.

Recycled plastic post and rail requires little to no maintenance once it has been correctly installed; however, it is always good practice to check all fencing connections periodically to ensure integrity and make any repairs as soon as they are noticed.
