The installation of this 2.0m x 6.0m Double Leaf Palisade Gate will enable you to form a vehicle access point within a 2.0m high Palisade Fencing structure. At 6.0m wide, this type of palisade gate is suitable for the access of vehicles like cars, vans and lorries; however it is only wide enough for a single lane of traffic to drive through at one time. This Palisade Gate is really useful as it enables you to keep your site secure and protected when it is inactive and allows access when required; without the need to dismantle any of the fencing structure. When the security gate is closed it effectively merges with the fencing system and is secured in its place with the two drop bolts and sliding latch bolt provided within the gate kit. Depending on the level of security you wish to supply your gate and security fencing with, you may decide to use a Heavy-Duty Padlock to lock the sliding latch bolt. To obtain this padlock, please select it as a customisation option.
This Palisade Gate has a height of 2.0m, making it more suited to areas which are considered to be less at risk in terms of security. It is very versatile and can be used in a wide variety of locations. This Palisade Gate, along with your Palisade Fencing system, can also be constructed on a variety of ground types, and it is the type of ground which will determine which posts should be used for the assembly of your Palisade Gate. Palisade Gates that are built on soft ground will require Dig-In posts which are set by Postfix cement, whereas Palisade Gates that are built on hard ground will require Bolt Down posts.
This Double Leaf Palisade Gate is made from quality cold rolled steel. It is able to offer a substantial amount of strength and robustness, as well as a high level of durability. To enhance the durability of this Palisade Gate, a zinc coating is applied to the steel. This effective coating enables the steel to become more resistant to rust and ultimately last longer. The name of this process is called galvanisation and it successfully meets the BS EN ISO 1461:2009 standard. To further protect the condition of the steel a Polyester Powder Coating finish can be applied. Available in a range of RAL colours, this finish makes the Palisade Gate more resilient to general wear and the effects of weathering over time. To have your gate polyester powder coated, please select it from the customisation section.
In addition to being dependable and long lasting, this Palisade Gate works well to help prevent intrusion. There are a number of pales that feature within this Palisade Gate and each encompasses an ‘anti-climb’ design. The profile of each pale is formed into a ‘W’ shape, which makes gripping the pales very hard so opportunities for climbing are reduced.
All Palisade Gates automatically come supplied galvanised and with triple pointed pale types, unless alternative customisation options are chosen in the section above.
When you order a 6.0m wide Palisade Gate you will be provided with a kit which contains all of the necessary gate components. We do not supply any Postfix cement within our kits, so if you require this please order it separately.
To customise your Palisade Gate, please choose from a range of options in the order section located at the top of this page.
