The 2.0m high standard double leaf flat top railing gate kit is a durable and sturdy option for various applications. It is offered in a variety of widths, ranging from 2.0m to 10.0m. These gates provide an excellent solution for creating access points in fencing or railing perimeters in public spaces like schools, universities, or parks. Additionally, they serve well as garden gates and are suitable for securing home driveways due to their ample width, allowing easy vehicular access.
Our team of skilled fabricators has meticulously crafted each of these gates to our highest standards, ensuring that every 2.0m high standard double leaf flat top gate remains robust and stable for years. To enhance durability and resist weathering and corrosion, we've employed top quality galvanised steel. The zinc coating on the steel acts as a protective barrier, safeguarding the gates against the effects of weathering and corrosion.
To ensure the gate remains securely closed when not in use, each kit includes a sliding latch leaf and a catch leaf. This latch and catch system effectively holds the gate in a closed position, preventing any accidental opening due to wind, which could potentially lead to damage to the gate hinges, property, or pose a risk of injury to pedestrians in proximity. For added security, the sliding latch can be further secured by using a heavy-duty padlock (available separately), providing protection against unauthorised access.
In addition to the sliding latch and catch system, each double leaf gate comes equipped with two drop-down bolts. The gate leaves have the flexibility to be operated independently, and the drop-down bolts serve the purpose of keeping each gate leaf open for extended periods. These bolts are also handy for holding the gate leaves closed when the gate is not in use or for selectively securing one leaf to restrict access.
To allow these double leaf flat top gates to be used in a wide range of locations, they are available with either dig in or bolt down posts.
Dig in posts – The dig in posts are ideal for use in locations where the ground is soft enough for holes to be easily dug. These posts are longer than their bolt down counterparts, as the posts will be placed into the holes and then securely held in place with the use of post mix (sold separately).
Bolt down posts – The bolt down posts are suitable for areas where it may not be possible to dig holes, such as locations where the ground has been surfaced with concrete. This type of post has a base plate which allows the posts to be secured in place with the use of ground anchor bolts (sold separately).
As standard, each of these 2.0m flat top double leaf metal railing gates are finished with a high-quality galvanised zinc coating. These coatings add a layer of protection to the steel and also give each gate a great looking silver finish.
However, if you require a little more colour with your railing gates, it is possible to order these 2.0m high railing gates with a professionally applied Polyester Powder Coating (PPC). These bright and colourful coatings are available to select from a wide range of RAL colours as well as custom colours. The PPC finishes also provide a secondary function of creating a second layer of protection against weathering and rust, allowing your gate to remain strong and looking great for years to come.
(Please note: for lead times on PPC finishes, please see the lead times when selecting a colour, or contact our helpful sales team for more information on lead times and for custom colours)
Touch up spray cans are available to repair the protective barrier that these coatings provide. These quick and easy to use paints can have your gates looking great again in no time.
Adding a gate restrainer to your gate system can help to reduce the risk of accident or injury. These easy to install restrainers consist of an incredibly strong braided stainless-steel cable which, as the name implies, ‘restrains’ the gate leaves, preventing them from falling.
