1.8m x 6.0m Double Leaf Palisade Security Gate

This 1.8m x 6.0m Double Leaf Palisade Gate works great as an access point for large vehicles and can easily be installed into a Palisade Fencing system. With two 3.0m wide gate leaves, this Palisade Gate opens to create a total space that is 6.0m wide, and this is suitable for the access of vehicles like cars, vans and HGVs. When the palisade gate is closed the two gate leaves meet in the middle and are secured by the sliding latch bolt and two drop bolts which lower into the ground. A Heavy-Duty Padlock may also be used if you would like to provide extra gate security. At 6.0m wide, this Palisade Gate can be used to allow one lane of traffic through at one time.

This Palisade Gate is 1.8m high and is considered to be more suitable for locations which possess a lower security risk. You should install this type of Palisade Gate into a Palisade Fencing system which is also 1.8m in height; in order to maintain a continuous, uniform structure. When secured shut, this Palisade Gate also functions as another security fencing panel; protecting the site from any damage or intrusion. As this gate can be erected on different types of ground, you must ensure that you select the right posts for your gate. For hard ground like concrete, Bolt Down Posts should be used; whereas for softer ground like grass Dig-In Posts should be used.

Features and Manufacture

This 6.0m wide Double Leaf Palisade Gate is manufactured from cold rolled steel. It offers a great deal of strength and stability and is extremely durable. The profile of the palisade pales is moulded into a ‘W’ shape, which makes them very hard to grip or gain a footing to climb over. The tops of each pale also greatly restrict climbing attempts due to their intimidating shape.

As this Palisade Gate is susceptible to rust, we provide it with a galvanised finish. This finish conforms to BS EN ISO 1461:2009 standards and consists of a protective zinc coating being applied to the steel. You may also have your steel security gate polyester powder coated to provide extra protection against corrosion and general wear. As well as providing the Palisade Gate with protection, this type of finish also makes your gate more aesthetically pleasing through the application of a colour. Please note that all 1.8m x 6.0m Double Leaf Palisade Gates will contain a standard galvanised finish and triple pointed pales, unless changed through customisation in the section above.

Gate Kit

When you order a Palisade Gate you will receive all of the required gate components as a kit. This kit will include pales, fixing bolts, posts, drop bolts, a sliding latch bolt, hinges and a complete gate frame to go into your Palisade Fencing System. Please note that Postfix cement is not included within this kit, therefore it will need to be bought separately if required.
