Designed to provide a secure point of access for both pedestrians and small vehicles, the 1.8m high by 2.0m wide single leaf palisade gate has been constructed from high quality cold rolled steel to protect your premises from would be intruders.
So what exactly is palisade fencing? And why should it be used to secure a site from would be intruders? Palisade fencing differs from other types of steel fencing such as V or 868 mesh which comes in panel form, instead being supplied as a series of vertical bars, also known as pales. These pales are each held securely in place by two rails running horizontally from one post to the next. This kit design allows for much easier transportation and installation and its design when installed allows for maximum visibility for additional security systems like CCTV cameras without compromising on strength and stability.
Our 1.8m x 2.0m single leaf palisade gates combine an intimidating design with cold rolled steel and high-quality construction. Each gate has been made in the UK to the highest standards, providing them with a high level of strength and rigidity against damage from would be intruders.
As well as providing an incredibly high level of strength, cold rolled steel components can be made much thinner and lighter than if other types of steel were used, which allows for easier transportation and installation.
One of the main ways that intruders will attempt to gain access to your site is by climbing, to prevent this from happening, the pales which make up the main body of the fencing have a unique W shaped profile. This W shape makes it tough to grip strongly enough to climb over your fencing perimeter. Acting as another anti-climbing system that this palisade gate has is that each of the pales is also topped with a pointed end, available as triple pointed as standard, though they are also available in either single point or rounded and notched (lead times may apply). These pointed ends add a level of intimidation to the fencing line, deterring many from attempting to climb over and making it far more difficult for those who attempt it.
As well as the sliding bolt to secure the gate closed when not in use, each of these gates is also provided with a drop bolt. These drop bolts can be used to hold the gate open safely and securely when in use and can also be used as an additional form of protection to prevent the gate from being opened when combined with the sliding latch bolt.
Weathering and rust formation can ruin the aesthetics of your fence line as well as compromise the strength of the fencing line as a whole. To help to combat this. All of our palisade gates have been galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461:2009 Standards. These coatings will create a protective barrier against rust and allow the steel to keep its silver finish for longer.
Palisade Fencing has many benefits which makes it an ideal security solution including:
Each of the 1.8m x 2.0m Single leaf gate kits come with the following:
Create an aesthetically pleasing fencing perimeter by customising your gate with a Polyester Powder Coating (PPC). These coatings are available in a range of RAL colours and can provide a greater level of protection against the detrimental effects of weathering and rust.
