Features and Benefits
Twin Mesh is a well-known security fencing product. It is very strong but has a less intimidating look than other types of defence fencing, so it is more appropriate for low to medium security needs such as public areas, leisure facilities and children's playgrounds.
Many local authorities utilise this type of fencing as it offers a good level of security but doesn’t have a daunting, harsh look. One of its main advantages is that the mesh allows clear sight through it so is useful if on-site surveillance or monitoring is needed.
A Twin Mesh fencing structure will need a safe access point and the First Fence Twin Mesh Single Leaf Gate Kit is perfect for this. This particular Kit is 1.5m high x 2.0m wide and is designed to be used with mesh fencing of a similar height to give a uniform look. It is manufactured by the on-site First Fence team from galvanised steel, which is strong and durable, offers resistance to rust and corrosion and can withstand heavy usage. These gates are built to last and comfortably withstand harsh weather conditions, they require minimal maintenance and offer long-term value for money.
The single leaf simplifies operation making it easy to open and close, the 2.0m width provides ample space for smaller vehicles, people and equipment to pass through comfortably. Single leaf gates are suited to areas where space is a constraint and are beneficial for residential areas where the convenience of a single leaf will be valued.
The kit contains a gate leaf, a hinge and catch post, adjustable gate eyebolts and ribbed inserts. It is available in a dig in or bolt down version, you just need to assess the ground substance you are erecting your gate onto to decide which is appropriate; generally, if the ground is soft you need to dig in and if it is hard you bolt down. Bolting the posts to concrete is a relatively quick and straightforward process but this may not be feasible if the ground substance is uneven or weak, so it is important to do a proper assessment beforehand.
The Twin Mesh Single Leaf Gate comes powder coated in a choice of standard colours, other non-standard colours are available on request with additional cost and lead time. This coating gives a product a very good finish, but it acts in a protective manner too, so it can withstand the damage of weathering and general wear and tear. This size gate is also available as a double leaf format.
Please Note: When attaching your gate to our mesh fencing, additional M8 x 40mm bolts and mesh fencing clips will be required.
