Closed board fencing, provides full coverage and privacy. It features tightly fitted vertical boards firmly attached to horizontal rails, which are secured to posts. This type of fencing is praised for its sturdy design, adaptability, and ability to create a strong, private boundary.

Introducing Recycled Plastic Closed Board Fencing

First Fence offers a range of recycled fencing made from Plaswood, a durable material produced from recycled plastic. Plaswood mimics the appearance of real wood but is engineered to withstand harsh weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, UV rays, and moisture. Unlike natural wood, recycled plastic fencing is resistant to rotting, warping, insect damage, and splintering. Both the fencing and its raw materials are rigorously tested by independent experts to guarantee premium quality, while the recycling process converts waste into new, eco-friendly materials.

The 1.1m recycled plastic pale for closed board fencing is 1100mm high by 30mm x 100mm. The pales are available in both black and brown to match the other components of the system and are easily fixed in place with twin flight, parallel thread, coarse pitch screws, similar to those used with wooden particle boards or hi-low screws. Please note that fixings do not come with this product.

Once the posts and horizontal rails are in place, forming the framework, attach the pales. You will need 30 pales for each 3.1m bay (28 standard, 2 centre pales), to form the recognisable closed board fence look.

This is a dig-in fencing system and requires one bag of post mix per post. It is recommended that posts are installed at 1.5m (+/- 50mm) post centre intervals.
