A strong and stylish railing option, the 1.8m High EnviroRail® Standard Bow Top Railing Kits are tall enough to discourage would be intruders from attempting to climb over them, whilst their strength makes attempting to gain access through physical damage incredibly difficult. The bow top design of these railings not only looks great but also provides a more unintimidating perimeter whilst also removing points from the tops of the railing bays which makes them great for use in parks or around schools.
Each bay has been made to our highest standards using a revolutionary new and environmentally friendly reduced weld construction makes these bays incredibly strong. To protect the steel from the damaging effects of weathering and corrosion, they are all finished with a high-quality Polyester Powder Coating (PPC) in a range of eye catching colours.
Each of the kits is supplied with a bow top railing panel, a post and the fixings required to attach the panel to the post.
Upon first glance, a bay of EnviroRail® Bow Top Railings may look the same as a bay of standard bow top railings. Whilst this may be the case, the main difference lies in the way in which these bays of railings are manufactured.
Standard bow top railing panels may rely on the use of welding to join the individual components together, which can be both resource and energy intensive, the EnviroRail® Bow Top Railings use a unique and revolutionary reduced weld system, reducing the amount of welding needed.
The EnviroRail® Bow Top Railing bays are constructed from specially laser cut and formed components which form strong bonds when pressed together, allowing for the creation of joints with less welding which greatly reduces the amount of energy and resource intensive welding required per bay.
Each EnviroRail® kit is comprised of pre-galvanised steel hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.
To allow ease of installation on a wide range of ground types, these 1.8m Bow Top Railing kits can be ordered with either dig in or bolt down posts.
Dig in posts – Dig in posts are suitable for areas where it would be very easy for holes to be dug. Post mix is then used to fill the hole and securely hold the post in place.
Bolt down posts – The bolt down post option is ideal for locations where it may not be possible for holes to be dug, such as areas which may have been surfaced with concrete. Each of these posts has a base plate which allows for it to be secured in place with the use of ground anchor bolts
1.8m High EnviroRail® Standard Bow Top Railing kits are supplied with the following:
Each of the railing kits is supplied with a post, an additional post may be required to complete a run of railings.
Each bay of EnviroRail® Standard Bow Top Railings are finished with a professionally applied Polyester Powder Coating (PPC) in a wide range of RAL colours. These bright, colourful and eye catching coatings not only look great, but also provide the steel with a protective coating against the damaging effects of rusting and weathering.
If the protective coatings should become damaged, which may occur due to accidents or acts of vandalism, it is possible to restore the coatings and the protection that they provide with the use of a touch up spray can which are available in a range of RAL colours.
Step One: Drill a 6mm pilot hole in the desired location for the new cleat; this is dictated by the gradient.
Step Two: Open the hole to a 12mm hole size to take the M10 bolts (as listed in the step below).
Step Three: Touch up and spray the hole, if required.
Step Four: Attach the cleat using the M10 x 70mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (for 0.9m to 1.2m height system) or M10 x 80mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (1.5m to 2.4m height systems).
Step Five: Attach the railing panel as per standard installation guidance.
Note: Please ensure the spacing relationships are followed according to the existing hole centres on the posts.
As well as the Standard Bow Top Railing range, there are also EnviroRail® Vertical Bar Round Railings and for areas such as parks and playgrounds there are also EnviroRail® Play Sec Bow Top railings.
