Features and Benefits

The EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing Double Leaf Gate Kit, measuring 0.9m in height and 6.0m in width, offers flexible access control. Although it is shorter in height, it is the widest format available and it excels in offering superior entry control with the choice of operating either one or both leaves. This is suitable for the much broader area and it is advisable to include a locking drop bolt with the double leaf format, available as an additional purchase option.

The EnviroRail® Double Gates offer a fully modular and gate solution that is relatively light in weight, ensuring easy installation of a range of hardware. Featuring universal handing, these gates offer on-site flexibility, eliminating the need for fixed left or right-hand specifications. The modular design allows for straightforward adjustments in case of gate movement, providing a level of flexibility that fixed hardware cannot offer.

Each EnviroRail® kit is comprised of hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.

Crafted with an eco-friendly approach, the EnviroRail® Play Sec Gate Kit sets itself apart from standard railings, making it the top choice for customers who prioritise reduced environmental impact during production. This inventive method utilises custom, laser-cut components pressed together to create sturdy bonds, minimising the necessity for energy-intensive welding.

Every EnviroRail® Play Sec Gate Kit is constructed from pre-galvanised steel that adheres to BS 10346 standards and is coated with polyester powder for durability. This dual-layered protection ensures long-lasting functionality, providing resilience against harsh outdoor elements while preserving its aesthetic appeal for years to come.

The double leaf gate kit includes two hinge posts, two Play Sec Railing leaves, and six adjustable gate eyes. With three hinges per leaf, the gate remains compliant with BS 12604, ensuring safety even in the unlikely event of a hinge failure. The gate hooks are fully welded to the gate post, providing a fixed-axis hinge that eliminates vertical movement.

Pre-drilled holes simplify the attachment of gate eyes and a drop bolt, accompanied by plastic plugs to cover unused holes on the gate attack face, ensuring a finished look and preventing water accumulation. Compatible with security locks, the gate allows for up to 30mm of adjustment from the catch post, facilitating an easy installation process. The UniSlide Slider Double Kit comes included with all EnviroRail double gates, ensuring a secure and smooth sliding mechanism for reliable operation.

Safety Compliance

The gate rails set at 100mm centres prevent entrapment, and the top bows of 90mm prevent wrist or neck trapping. The design and manufacture of the EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing Gate fully comply with BS EN 1176 regulations.

The gate provides a 50mm ground clearance when correctly installed, with the gate opening 90° in and out.

Available in various heights and widths, these gates come in a dig-in or bolt-down version, suitable for diverse environments. The dig-in variant requires the addition of Post Mix to the order, while the bolt-down version requires four M16 x 125mm ground anchor bolts per post.
