Presenting recycled plastic post and rail fencing, a timeless and versatile design that consists of upright posts that provide solid support for horizontal rails, forming a straightforward yet effective barrier. Recognised for its rustic charm and natural appeal, this fencing style is a popular choice for those who are looking for a classic and lasting design.
This fencing design features posts securely anchored into the ground for stability, with horizontal rails connecting the posts to create the core framework. The number of rails can vary, but typically two, three, or four horizontal rails are used, resulting in a visually appealing pattern.
First Fence's post and rail fencing is made from Plaswood which is a material manufactured from recycled plastic. This product gives the visual appeal of real wood while providing resilience and durability that wood cannot. The material is able to withstand very harsh weather conditions and fluctuations in temperature. Unlike its wooden or metal counterparts, it is impervious to rot, decay and corrosion, making it ideal for outdoor fencing products. It is available in both black and brown.
We suggest M10 x 160mm galvanised bolts to fix the system together; note that these do not come with the product.
To build your own post and rail system, select the quantity or meterage of the required fencing. Then decide how many 3.1m rails you would like your system to have; you can choose two, three or four, depending on the look you wish to achieve. You will need to choose your posts; there is the option for a 1.7m high post and a 2.0m post, and these are for the 1.2m and 1.5m system, respectively. These posts should be buried 500mm into the ground.
This is a dig-in system and requires one bag of post mix per post. It is recommended that posts are installed at 1.0m (+/- 50mm) post centre intervals.
To finish your fencing run, add an end post to your order.
Once installed, this system requires little maintenance, however it is a good idea to check the fixings periodically to ensure the posts and rails are performing optimally.
If you prefer the look and feel of a real wood fence, Post and Rail is also available as a timber version. First Fence also offers knee rail fencing in timber, steel or recycled plastic for a low-security boundary marking solution.
