Features and Benefits

This security-rated mesh gate, furnished with two leaves, gives the user heightened adaptability in access control. Forged from high-calibre steel, Hot Dip Galvanised to ISO 1461 standards. The gate is additionally protected by a polyester powder coating available in a spectrum of RAL colours. This dual coating confers superior defence against wear, damage, rust, and corrosion.

The kit itself includes gate leaves, two hinge gate posts, two drop bolts, six adjustable gate eyes, and ribbed inserts for the gate frame and posts. The gate leaves feature an 868 mesh infill, a well-established security mesh configuration that is easily recognisable. The vertical wires boast a 6mm thickness, while the horizontals measure 8mm, granting the mesh its designation. The secure mesh is often referred to as Prison Mesh due to its use in such environments.

This variety of mesh is exceptionally robust and highly impervious to cutting, rendering it especially suitable for scenarios where unobstructed perimeter visibility is imperative, or for seamless integration with CCTV systems.

Easy Installation

First Fence's SR1-rated gate kit can be bought in both a dig-in and bolt-down format, accommodating a broad spectrum of ground conditions. It's vital to evaluate the ground you plan to install this gate on before making your purchase. If it's grass or softer land, the dig-in option is essential, while concrete and other solid ground types necessitate bolt-down posts.

The bolt-down kit includes the requisite ground anchor bolts. Should you opt for the dig-in kit, you'll need to include Post Mix with your order. We recommend four bags per post for optimal installation. You should use either C20 or C25 post mix.

This gate has quite a large width and will accommodate both personnel access and small vehicles such as forklifts. The sliding latch bolt keeps the leaves securely closed, and the drop bolts ensure the leaves are firmly secured in place. Depending on your requirements, one or both leaves can be opened.

A recommended range of approved Secure By Design (SBD) padlocks is available.
