These Flat Top Railing gates, also referred to as flat handrails or flat bar railings in the industry, present a contemporary railing system suitable for a variety of scenarios. Renowned for their horizontally-oriented, flat top surface, these railings have a very modern design that transforms conventional fencing into an attractive, ornamental structure. The streamlined and tidy design of the flat top exudes visual charm, achieving an ideal balance between security and a hospitable ambiance. This makes them a fitting choice for various settings, including public and residential spaces.

The EnviroRail® Flat Top Railing Gate stands out in the market due to its environmentally mindful production method. Utilising a low-weld technique, this system incorporates bespoke, laser-cut pre-galvanised parts that interlock firmly during assembly, lessening the need for energy-intensive welding. This eco-friendly approach aligns with customers concerned about reducing environmental impact during production and is something First Fence is proud to offer.

Constructed from pre-galvanised steel that meets BS 10346 standards, and then further coated with polyester powder, our gates ensure exceptional durability, able to withstand prolonged exposure to harsh outdoor elements and giving years of reliable functionality.

EnviroRail® Gates offer a fully modular and ultra lightweight gate solution, enabling quick installation of diverse hardware. They are universally handed, which removes the need for fixed left or right-hand specifications for on-site flexibility and easy decision-making during installation. The modular functionality ensures adjustability, accommodating gate movement, a feature that is lacking in traditional, fixed hardware.

Each EnviroRail® kit is comprised of hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.

The gate kit includes an EnviroRail® gate leaf, hinge post, catch post, and three adjustable gate eyes, meeting BS 12604 safety guidelines to ensure stability even in the unlikely event of a single hinge failure. Additionally, the gate hooks are fully welded to the gate post, providing fixed axis hinges with no vertical movement.

Each gate comes with pre-drilled holes, which greatly simplifies the attachment of the three adjustable gate eyes and a drop bolt. Included with the product are plastic hole plugs designed to conceal any unused holes on the attack face. These prevent water building inside the structure and also gives the gate a very nice finish.

Designed for versatility, the EnviroRail® Flat Top Gate Kit is available in an extensive choice of heights and widths, including a double-leaf variant, ensuring we have the perfect gate for you. The gate kits come in dig-in and bolt-down versions, suitable for installation in diverse areas. The dig-in variant suits softer ground types and requires Post Mix for secure installation, while the bolt-down option is ideal for harder ground surfaces, secured using four M16 x 125mm anchor bolts per post. Before purchasing your gate, a ground assessment is advisable to determine the precise gate post style needed.

When correctly installed, the gate allows up to 30mm of adjustment from the catch post, with a 50mm ground clearance.

Finishing Touches

For a secure finish, consider adding a Slider Kit to ensure your gate stays closed. The modularity of this gate range makes it compatible with all our security locks, also available from First Fence. An anti-climb Locking Plate can be added for enhanced security, along with a heavy-duty padlock.
