Size 8 Tube Base Plate (A12) Key Clamp Fitting
The Base Plate, or the A12 as it is also known, has been specifically designed to provide support and reinforcement to a vertical tube, a post, within a guardrail or handrail structure. This fitting ensures that the system is firmly secured to a surface. The fixing bolts chosen to be used with this fitting will need to be in line with the load that will be applied to the structure.
The tubes that are used in conjunction with this particular A12 fitting should be Size 8 and have an outside diameter of 48.3mm.
Please Note: In order to fix a Base Plate to a level ground surface, only M12 Through Bolts (ANC) can be used. The purchase of this fitting does not include Through Bolts and therefore, they will need to be purchased separately.
Supplied in galvanised steel, this tube clamp fitting has an added layer of protection and resistance against the damaging effects of weathering and corrosion, this means that it will require very little to no maintenance at all after installation.
