Introducing Recycled Plastic Mortised Post and Rail Fencing

Plastic mortised post and rail fencing is just one product from First Fence's continually expanding recycled plastic line, which includes knee rail fencing, post and rail, and domestic fencing and gates.

This system is made from Plaswood which is a high quality, innovative and durable material made from recycled plastic. The product and raw materials are tested by independent experts to ensure performance and consistency, and the recycling processes transform waste into new supplies and solutions.

The recycled plastic has been designed to endure severe weather conditions, including temperature fluctuations, moisture and UV exposure. Unlike traditional wood, it resists rot, warping and insect damage. Once installed, the product requires little maintenance as it won't break down with time the way standard timber would.

First Fence has everything you need for creating your new mortised post and rail fencing, including this 1.7m mortised post. The post has a width of 100mm x 100mm and is mortised in two places, one at the top and one towards the bottom of the post. This post is intended for the 1.2m system and 500mm needs to be set into the ground.

This is a dig-in fencing system and requires one bag of post mix per post. It is recommended that posts are installed at 1.0m (+/- 50mm) post centre intervals.

This post is available in black or brown.

Recycled plastic post and rail requires little to no maintenance once it has been correctly installed; however, it is good practice to check all fencing connections periodically to ensure integrity and make any repairs as soon as they are spotted.
