Features and Benefits
Twin Mesh is very recognisable in appearance. The mesh is formed from 6mm vertical steel wires crossing over double 8mm wires and is very strong and this small mesh design makes it very hard for intruders to breach it. This, and its clear through-visibility, is what makes this a good choice for a whole variety of settings as it provides superior security benefits.
This kind of mesh fencing system can often be seen around schools and playgrounds, sports and leisure facilities, but also may be used in a domestic setting as it can be powder coated to blend in with or match its surrounding. Local authorities often use this type of fencing in public areas as it has strength and security, yet doesn't look as intimidating as other forms, such as palisade.
By adding a gate to a fencing structure, you create a safe and secure point of access. The nature of the site the fencing surrounds may require visitor access to be controlled, and a secure gate can facilitate this.
The First Fence Twin Mesh Double Leaf Gate Kit is an ideal addition to your mesh fencing run. The double leaf gate is 1.5m high x 3.0m wide and is manufactured from pre-galvanised steel and powder coated in a variety of RAL colours. It comes in a bolt down or dig in option so will work on a soft or harder ground substance; you just need to make your ground assessment before ordering. The mesh gate will permit pedestrian access but at 3.0m wide it will also allow some smaller vehicles to pass through when both gate leaves are opened.
A sliding latch keeps the gate closed and the drop bolts keep it securely in place; a heavy duty padlock can be added to reinforce resistance to a forced entry. A double leaf gate gives a much wider access point making it easier for vehicles or large volumes of foot traffic to pass through.
Galvanised steel is strong and has resistance to rust and corrosion and the polyester powder coating gives it further protection from the effects of weathering and wear and tear, but it also gives it a very sleek finish and can be matched to an existing scheme. Non-standard RAL colours of polyester powder coating are also available with an additional cost and lead time.
Please Note: When attaching your gate to our mesh fencing, additional M8 x 40mm bolts and mesh fencing clips will be required.
